Hi Parents

So there has been a lot of serious talk recently of the more mundane aspects of this wedding (color, reception, dress, etc.) so I have decided to jazz it up by talking about the main reason for getting married: the HONEYMOON!

Lisa and myself (Ian) have been discussing various possible options for the grand getaway and have decided that the most appealing of all has been:

Hope Town Lodge

My parents have been here before and the jealousy I felt when they returned was indescribable. I want others to feel that amount of jealousy when Lisa and I (Ian) return from our honeymoon.
The ocean front cabana rentals are $1295 weekly and, since I know absolutely nothing about prices for vacations, I think that is quite affordable. I am sure since Ma and Pa have been there before they can send a few price cutting tips our way. What does everyone think?

Awesome?

Yes, correct answer!

Hope Town is a truely beautiful and relaxing place. We had a very nice time there. We sailed into the harbor, anchored, and took the dingy (the inflatable one, not mom)to the pier of a local pub, tied up and ate lunch (fried conch, coconut shrimp, and Kalick beer. We then walked around town. There are no cars allowed in Hope Town. Everyone walks or drives a golf cart. It is truely relaxing, not much excitement, but that is what we were looking for.
A better vacation would be to fly into the Abacos and charter a sailboat (bareboat). It would cost about the same. You could sail, sleep, eat, swim and island hop to your hearts content. Oh darn, I forgot, in Ian's obstinant youth he resisted learning to sail. Well, you could take along a Captain and crew (guess who).
Nah, bad idea, that would be a nightmare honeymoon for you. Better stick to the cabana and walking.
It is beautiful though and very relaxing.

Breaking news on the honeymoon front...Grandpa Jerry just told me that he would like to contribute $500 to the honeymoon fund! He's going to send it to you in early August.

HOLY CRAP! That's unexpectedly wonderful! Well thank you, Grandpa Jerry! That is so generous...I don't know what to say. That's like..a billion more froofy umbrella cocktails and tubes of sunscreen! Or something. I am so excited!
